Proff Connect brings Nordic company data directly into Salesforce. Add an org number — the record fills in automatically with verified data from official registers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. No manual lookups, no spreadsheets, no data going stale. Here's what it does and how to get started.
What you get
Real-time enrichment. When you create or update an account with a Nordic org number, enrichment runs automatically. The record populates within seconds — legal name, address, industry classification, revenue, employee count, company status, and more. Data comes from official public registers: Brønnøysund, Bolagsverket, CVR, PRH. Over 6.6 million verified companies across the Nordics.
One-click enrichment. You can also manually trigger enrichment on any record. One click, and the data refreshes. Useful when you've inherited a record or when you want to verify that data is current.
Bulk enrichment. Need to update hundreds or thousands of accounts? Run bulk enrichment on a list view or report. Entire customer lists can be updated in seconds. No export, no manual matching, no re-import.
Automatic updates. Data is refreshed from the source. When companies file new annual accounts, change address, or update status, that information flows through. You can also set up scheduled enrichment to refresh records on a schedule — nightly, weekly, or whatever fits your process.
Smart data mapping. You control where the data goes. Map to standard fields or custom fields. The default mapping covers the usual suspects, but you can tailor it to match your org's structure. Works across Accounts, Leads, and Contacts.
What the data includes
Financials (revenue, profit, equity, employee count), addresses (registered, postal, visiting), NACE industry codes, company status (active, dissolved, bankrupt), parent/subsidiary relationships, key roles (CEO, board, auditor), beneficial owners, shareholders. The exact data depends on the country and company type — financials come from filed annual accounts.
Install from AppExchange
Search for "Proff Connect" on AppExchange or go straight to the listing. Click Get It Now and choose your org. Start with a sandbox if you have one — it's easier to test mappings and train users before production.
Installation takes a few minutes. Salesforce emails you when it's done. No coding, no consultants. Setup to first enrichment in under 30 minutes.
Assign permission sets
After install, go to Setup → Permission Sets. Find the Proff Connect permission sets and assign them to the users or profiles that need access. The sets control who can use enrichment, who sees the enriched fields, and who can change settings.
Configure field mapping
Open the Proff Connect settings and review the mapping. The default works for most orgs, but if you've built custom fields for financials or NACE codes, add them here. Map to standard or custom fields. Skip fields you don't need.
When enrichment runs automatically
- A new Account, Lead, or Contact is created with a Nordic org number
- An existing record's org number is updated
- A user manually requests enrichment on a record
- Scheduled enrichment runs (if configured)
It runs in the background. Data usually appears within seconds.
A few tips
Start in sandbox. Test your mappings, check data quality, and show your team before you roll out. Saves headaches.
Clean your org numbers first. Enrichment matches on org number. If your accounts have inconsistent formats, missing numbers, or typos, enrichment won't fire. A quick data cleanup before deployment pays off.
Review the default mapping. It works for most orgs, but if you've built custom fields for financials or industry, map them. Otherwise you'll get data in the wrong place — or not at all.
Tell your team. Let sales and ops know that account data will auto-populate. Explain what's changing and who to contact if something looks off. Adoption goes smoother when people know what to expect.
